Participation in the training event “Practical aspects of participation in the Horizon Europe Programme” (30.10.2024, online/offline)
On 30 October 2024, the team of the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine participated in the training event “Practical Aspects of Participation in the Horizon Europe Programme”. The event, dedicated to the first anniversary of the Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, was organised by the Horizon Europe Office at the National Research Foundation of Ukraine.
The event began with a welcoming address by Carole MANSEL-BLANCHARD, Head of the International Cooperation Unit of the European Commission. She highlighted the importance of the Horizon Europe Programme for fostering Ukraine’s scientific potential. Hryhoriy MOZOLEVYCH, Director General of the Directorate for Science and Innovation of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, and Stanislav VILCHINSKII, Chair of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine, also emphasized the value of close collaboration between Ukraine and European partners.
Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine, shared insights into implementing synergetic projects between the Horizon Europe and Erasmus+ Programmes.
The working session began with Ihor TARANOV, Head of the Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, presenting the main achievements of the Office during its first year of operation.
Key topics of the training included:
- Features of Ukrainian institutions’ participation in the Horizon Europe Programme.
- Expanding opportunities for researchers within European research programmes.
- Synergies between Horizon Europe and other European initiatives.
During the event, experts from various countries shared best practices for participating in the EU Framework Programme, discussed challenges and prospects for Ukrainian researchers, and provided practical recommendations for preparing successful projects.
The event concluded with a networking session, offering participants the opportunity to exchange ideas, establish new contacts, and plan future collaborations.
This event became a significant step towards integrating Ukrainian researchers into the European Research Area and strengthening international cooperation.
